The story of PlaqueOff® has begun in the 1970s, when Swedish dentist Sune Wikner came across one of his patients who suffered from chronic tartar formation. Throughout the treatment he found out that there were moments of sudden improvement. After studying the case, he identified a connection between his patient's improvement and his regular consumption of seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum.
The same connection reappeared, sometime later, with a dog that was fed with the same algae. Years later and after much research, Swedencare was born, the company responsible for the development of ProDen PlaqueOff®.
The PlaqueOff® brand gave life to seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum from the Scandinavian Coast.
